CHARGEPOLY becomes a Regular member of CharIN, Accelerating Megawatt Charging Innovation

The French engineering powerhouse brings its expertise in heavy-duty EV charging to the global alliance, focusing on interoperability and megawatt charging solutions.

CHARGEPOLY, a trailblazer in heavy-duty electric vehicle (EV) charging technology, has officially become a regular member of the Charging Interface Initiative (CharIN). This strategic move underscores CHARGEPOLY's commitment to shaping the future of electromobility, particularly in the high-power charging domain for trucks and buses.

"Joining CharIN is a natural progression for us. As an engineering-driven company with a strong focus on innovation, we see CharIN as the perfect platform to collaborate with industry leaders, share our technical vision, and drive the standardization of megawatt charging systems."
Hadi Moussavi, CEO of CHARGEPOLY

CHARGEPOLY's decision to join CharIN is rooted in its ambition to work closely with key ecosystem players. The company has already established strong ties with major OEMs, including successful test sessions with Volvo Trucks, which have led to CHARGEPOLY's qualification as a preferred charging partner. Additionally, its active participation in transport associations such as ASTRE (Association des Transporteurs Européens) and OTRE (Organisation des Transporteurs Européens) provides CHARGEPOLY with invaluable insights into the diverse needs of fleet operators.

Operating as both a technology provider and a Charge Point Operator (CPO), CHARGEPOLY brings a unique perspective to CharIN.

"Our dual role gives us a comprehensive understanding of the market, We hear directly from users about their challenges, which informs our engineering decisions. This user-centric approach is crucial as we develop next-generation charging solutions."
Hadi Moussavi, CEO of CHARGEPOLY

CHARGEPOLY plans to contribute significantly to CharIN's technical working groups.

"Interoperability is a core focus for us. Our in-house developed communication stacks ensure seamless interaction between EVs and backend systems. We're eager to share this expertise within CharIN to enhance industry-wide compatibility."
Alexandre Brun, Head of Products at CHARGEPOLY

The company's most exciting contribution, however, lies in megawatt charging. CHARGEPOLY is designing a groundbreaking decentralized, megawatt-capable charging system. This innovative approach builds upon the company's current energy distribution strategies, promising to revolutionize high-power charging infrastructure.

CHARGEPOLY's vision extends beyond charging technology. Its partnership with Voltalia, a global renewable energy giant and its majority shareholder, opens new avenues for integration.

"With Voltalia's expertise, we're exploring synergies between EV charging and solar production. Our goal is to develop site-wide energy conversion and management systems that incorporate large-scale battery storage, aligning with our commitment to sustainable, grid-friendly solutions."
Hadi Moussavi, CEO of CHARGEPOLY

As CHARGEPOLY expands its footprint in Europe and North America, its CharIN membership signifies its global ambitions. With a complete charging solution that optimizes total cost of ownership for heavy-duty electric fleets, CHARGEPOLY is set to play a pivotal role in CharIN's mission to accelerate the transition to electromobility.
