CharIN and AMIVE form a tactical alliance to accelerate electric mobility in Mexico

The partnership between the Charging Interface Initiative e.V. (CharIN) and the Asociación Mexicana de Impulso al Vehículo Eléctrico (AMIVE) forms a strong alliance that will stimulate innovation and positive change in Mexico’s mobility landscape. This collaboration aims to expedite the setup of electric vehicle charging infrastructure in Mexico.

The Charging Interface Initiative (CharIN) and the Asociación Mexicana de Impulso al Vehículo Eléctrico (AMIVE) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This marks a significant moment in international collaboration to boost electric mobility growth in Mexico.

Through this partnership, CharIN and AMIVE will work together on various initiatives. These include exchanging information, providing technical training, and promoting ISO 15118, the international standard for charging communication protocols. The goal is to advance the charging infrastructure in Mexico.

CharIN, boasting a network of over 300 members spanning the entire EV charging value chain, is committed to the implementation of the Combined Charging System (CCS) and the Megawatt Charging System (MCS). The association's vision is to establish CCS and MCS as the global standard for charging all types of electric vehicles, ensuring reliability and user satisfaction.
