CharIN intensifies activities in Asia with own entity, new advisory board and additional regional representatives

After the official office opening in Singapore in March 2024 with a visit of the CharIN global Executive Board, Nicholas Yeoh as Director Singapore now supports the team in Asia by focusing on the ASEAN markets and presenting CharIN and its activities there.

Beginning of June, the first CharIN Asia Advisory Board meeting was successfully held with participants from Korea, China, Taiwan, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia.

The purpose of the Asia Advisory Board is to install a cross-continental expert committee which discusses and advises on different topics to drive e-mobility in Asian markets.

During regular exchanges, the different Advisory Board members together with CharIN representatives in Asia can evaluate which technical exchange or communication on existing solutions are necessary to support e-mobility and bring it to the next level in the different Asian countries. This includes knowledge about ISO15118, CCS and MCS, conformance testing, plug and charge as well as different types of vehicles.
